AI Integrator Files

A private space for your files and generated media, shared across every chat, project and model.

AI Integrator Files is now available on Pro and Max. It gives each account a private space to share context across projects and sessions and to review generated images, video and audio, on the web, the desktop app and iPhone.

Organising files

The library is split into Home, Recent, Favorites, Generated, Folders and Projects. Generated collects the images, video and audio you have made in Chat, so they are easy to find and look back on. Files can be sorted by date, name, size or type, shown as a list or a grid, and searched by name.

Opening a file shows a preview, along with its size, the date it was added, its folder and the projects it belongs to. Images, audio, video, PDFs and text files all preview on the web, the desktop app and iPhone.

Deleting a folder keeps the files that were in it. Deleting a file removes it for good, and the app asks before it does.

Using files in a chat

In any chat, the + menu has Upload attachment for a new file and, on Pro and Max, Files to pick something from the library. A message can include up to ten files.

On Pro and Max, Chat can also look through the library on its own when a question needs a document, and in a project it looks at that project's files first. It reads documents, PDFs and spreadsheets, and models that can see images also read pictures and video. Chat cannot listen to audio yet.

Supported files

  • Documents: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text, Markdown, CSV and JSON
  • Images: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP and HEIC
  • Audio: MP3, M4A, WAV and other common formats
  • Video: MP4 and MOV
  • Code: most source and config files

Plans

The Files library is part of Pro and Max. On the free plan, files can still be attached to chats, and images saved from Chat stay available.
