Patch notesUpdates

Patch notes: 0.2.13 to 0.2.16

Queued messages, a cursor that shows where an agent is working, chats that can use a computer, and smaller changes from October 15 to 21.

Four releases in a week. The bigger features have their own write-ups, linked below. This is everything else, newest first.

The four releases
  • Oct 15: 0.2.13: Remote Access and agents on computers
  • Oct 18: 0.2.14: Chats can use a computer
  • Oct 18: 0.2.15: A cursor shows where the agent works
  • Oct 21: 0.2.16: Queue the next message

0.2.16, October 21

  • Queue the next message. A message you send while a reply is still being written now waits its turn. Send now stops that reply and sends yours instead. This works in Chat on the desktop app, the web and iPhone.
  • Mercury 3 is in the model menu. More in Mercury 3 is now in Chat.
  • Images. The fade under the composer now runs the full width of the page.
  • Updates on a Mac. If an update cannot replace the app where it is installed, the app now tells you where to move it, and keeps the downloaded update until it can.
  • Remote. A connection problem now shows next to the switch. Long branch names stay short, and the view control sits beside the computer picker.
  • Settings. Decision models now sit with the runtimes. Point at the read-aloud, voice, message, project, shortcut and browser buttons to see what they are called.

0.2.15, October 18

  • The computer card stays up while a chat works, with Pause, Resume and Stop. View shows another computer. This computer is already in front of you.
  • Computer use now has one set of permissions instead of two.
  • A cursor shows where the agent is acting, including on another display.

0.2.14, October 18

  • A chat can start work on a computer, watch it, and stop it. When the computer asks to continue, you can allow it from the chat.
  • You can choose the decision model that picks each step in the browser and on the computer.
  • Uploads to Files now stop when you reach your plan's file limit.

0.2.13, October 15

  • You can turn on Let Agents use this computer, and follow the run on your phone or the web.
  • Remote Access opens your computer from your phone, another computer or a browser.
  • Screen control, and Remote on more than one computer, are part of Pro and Max, as are the Files library and notifications.
  • During TestFlight, the first month of a paid plan is 75% off with the code TESTFLIGHT.
  • A reply can show on your other devices while it is still being written.

The two large features in this run have their own articles: Remote Access and Let an agent use your computer.
