Models in Chat and Code can now save the pages they build as artifacts, Code can run on your AI Integrator plan, and plugins ask before they change anything. The Images studio can also make video.
Artifacts
When you ask for a timer, a game or a dashboard, the model can save it as an artifact: a page that opens beside your chat, stays in Files, and keeps a version for every change you ask for. In Code, the page opens as a tab in the work pane, and on iPhone it opens full screen. A saved page can read data from the plugins you have connected and from public sources, as you, and it can only read. Introducing artifacts describes how they work.
AI Integrator in Code
AI Integrator is now a runtime in Code's list. Pick it, choose one of 40 models, and Code runs Codex, Claude Code or OpenCode on your computer with the model's usage paid from your plan. The program sends its requests to a small server in the desktop app, which adds your computer's key and passes them to your account, so the program never holds the key. Zero Data Retention and No training are on by default. Code on your AI Integrator plan has the details.
Plugin permissions
Chat and Code now ask before a plugin changes something. A card shows the plugin, the action and its inputs, and you allow or decline. The + menu has a Permissions choice, Read Only, Ask First, Auto or Bypass Permissions, and Auto lets your decision model answer for you. Scheduled tasks have their own Permissions, Agent Homes show an approval row, and a call shows the card on the call screen. Plugin permissions in Chat and Code covers all of it.
Other changes
- The Images studio can make video with H3 Max, H3 Max Turbo and FLUX 3 Max. It can also extend a clip, recast a video and sync a video's lips to audio you add, and it shows the price before you generate. Enhance doubles the size of an image, up to about 4K. - Add MCP server, in Skills & Plugins, takes the address of your own server. Four legal research plugins are new: Bloomberg Law, CourtListener, Descrybe and Paxton. The Google Drive, Box, Docusign, Figma and HubSpot plugins were removed from the list.
- The Government data plugin has 11 more sources, such as National Weather Service alerts, openFDA and NHTSA recalls, and covers 26 in all.
- One switch, Let Chat and Agents use Code chats on this computer, replaces the two that were there before.
- A subagent profile runs on its own route or on the chat's. The Budget, Standard and Premium subagent tiers are gone.
- You can drag the work pane over the chat to give it the whole row. The sidebar has a Done shelf, and a chat in a worktree shows its branch sooner.
- Particle-1 is in Chat. The strip above the composer slides in and out as the screen changes.
- On iPhone, the composer and settings sheets open more smoothly, and New project no longer loops back to itself.
- You can export everything your account keeps, and you can delete your account. What an account can use now follows its home country, which is set when you sign up.
