The Assistant in Files is now a full chat that keeps working when you close the file, and editing documents and spreadsheets on iPhone is easier. Each reply in Chat also shows the name of the model that wrote it.
Files Assistant chats
The Assistant in each file is now a full chat. If you close the file while the Assistant is replying, the reply continues and is there when you come back. You can stop a reply from any of your devices, and messages you send during a reply wait in a queue until it finishes. Each message has Copy, Edit and resend, and Try again buttons.
The Assistant now picks a presentation theme that suits the subject and avoids the themes you used recently. Code can also find a file in Files by its name.
Editing on iPhone
On iPhone, you can drag a handle to set the range of a formula, and the keyboard stays open while you do. Panels and the formatting bar sit above the keyboard, and buttons are larger. While the Assistant is replying with its panel closed, its tab stays visible so you can see that it is still working.
