0.3.0: Pull Requests & Ad Blocking

Code can create, review and merge pull requests, and the desktop app's browser blocks ads and trackers.

Scroll down

Code can now create, review and merge pull requests, and the browser in the desktop app blocks ads and trackers. Every sidebar now has the same layout, and OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Terra is available in Chat.

Pull requests in Code

History and Pull requests now sit in the work pane beside a Code chat. You can review an open pull request from a chat, read any commit in History or revert it, and follow a chat's pull request as it changes. You can create or merge a pull request from your computer, the web or your phone.

When an agent hands part of its work to a subagent with its own worktree, the subagent's row shows that worktree, on the phone as well. Agents can also start Code chats and send messages to them. The chat shows a card for each message and says which agent started it.

Ad blocking in the browser

The browser in the desktop app now blocks ads and trackers. You can turn blocking off for one site from the browser's menu, or for every site in Browser settings. The browser also opens plain web addresses over a secure connection, asks sites not to sell or share what you do, and refuses popups that a page opens without a click or key press.

Ad Blocking and Privacy in an Agentic Browser covers how blocking works and how it keeps your sign-ins private.

Other changes

  • Every sidebar has the same links to each part of the app, plus Needs you and Working sections, and each chat row shows its time.
  • Dragging the sidebar and panels is smoother. Queued messages look unsent until they go out, the message box clears after you send, and the new chat screen on the phone is redesigned.
  • An agent can ask you for a secret, such as a password or a key, or ask to change a setting, and you can answer from your computer or your phone.
  • When the app wakes a chat on its own, for example because the chat's pull request was updated, the chat shows a notice that says what happened.
  • An agent can show a small visual it built inside the chat.
  • A plugin that stops responding no longer delays an agent's tools.
  • In Files, you can attach pictures to the Assistant from Files or from your device and mention another file with @. The library shows a presentation's whole first slide and a spreadsheet's first column.
  • If a message reaches the chat but the send reports an error, the message no longer reappears in the message box. A new chat keeps the project you picked.
  • Every sign-in page asks you to agree to the Terms, and a retry screen appears when your account cannot be reached.
  • Muted text and error messages are darker and easier to read.
