Install AI Integrator Government
AI Integrator Government is in Skills & Plugins. It’s off until you turn it on for Chat, Code, or both. To turn off a single skill, open Installed. For example, one switch turns off Census everywhere it appears. Keys are set up for you. If a source is unavailable, the card or the answer says so.

You don’t need a dataset code. Ask for the “unemployment rate”, and the assistant finds the BLS or FRED series. If you know the series ID, you can include it.
Set up a research project
Create a Chat project for the topic. In the project instructions, include the audience, the geography, the years, and the format you want. Ask for the records first, then ask for a summary.
Example prompts:
- “Find federal awards to this recipient for the last completed fiscal year. Separate grants and contracts, list the award IDs, and cite the records.”
- “Find proposed rules on this topic in this date range. Include the agency, the document number, the comment deadline when the document states one, and a link.”
To search bills by keyword, use GovInfo. To check a bill’s status when you have its number, use Congress. GovInfo lists what it holds and the date ranges: GovInfo coverage. The Federal Register explains its document types: reader aids.
Charts
Ask for a chart of a numeric series. The assistant chooses a chart type, supported series are fetched from the source, and the card lists the sources. You can change the range, save the chart as PNG or CSV, or click a bar to ask about that data point. For every control, including comparisons that aren’t time series, see Charts.
Use Chat to find records and explain them. Use Code when you need a script, a cleaned file, or a report in a repository. The plugin must be turned on for Code on that computer, and the runtime must support it. Privacy explains where project notes are stored.
