AI Integrator for Government

Start with the Government plugin

Install AI Integrator Government from Skills & Plugins and enable it for Chat, Code, or both. Its bundled skills cover federal publications, public spending, and statistical data. Open Installed to turn individual skills on or off. The catalog uses platform-provided access for this collection; the installed card and service response show whether a source is currently available.

Build a research brief

Create a Chat project for the policy area. Add the audience, geography, reporting period, and output format to project instructions. Enable the relevant skills, then ask for a bounded source search before a summary.

For example: “Find federal awards to this recipient for the last completed fiscal year. Separate grants and contracts, list award identifiers, and cite the source records.” Or: “Find proposed rules on this topic published in this date range. Include the agency, document number, comment deadline when stated, and original document.”

For bill research, use GovInfo for keyword discovery and Congress for a selected bill's status. GovInfo's collection guide explains the federal publications it covers and their date ranges. Choose Chat or Code

Chat can retrieve records and explain the results. Ask explicitly for a chart when comparing a supported numeric series; keep the source, units, and date range with it. Code is useful when the work needs a repeatable calculation, data-cleaning script, local report, or repository. Code data skills require the plugin to be enabled locally and a compatible runtime.
