Tools for legal research and documents
This guide combines existing data and document tools. The catalog does not currently list a dedicated AI Integrator Law plugin. Start with the Government collection for federal legislative and regulatory research, then add the document tools appropriate to the working surface.

Define the matter and sources
Create a separate Chat project for the matter or research question. Specify jurisdiction, relevant dates, issue, and citation format in the project instructions. Add source documents through Files when account-backed storage is appropriate. Use Code for local document processing when the task needs a compatible installed skill and local files.
Ask for source discovery before a conclusion. For example: “Find Federal Register documents on this topic within this period. Separate proposed and final rules, quote the relevant passage briefly, and link the original document.” For legislation, ask for the bill identifier, version, and latest recorded action.
GovInfo lists its available federal collections and coverage limits. A missing search result does not establish that a document does not exist. GovInfo coverage. Check the original document and its status before relying on a generated summary. This catalog does not provide a general case-law citator or automatic validation that an authority remains good law.

Keep context and access specific
Use project-scoped memory for durable matter context and keep unrelated matter facts out of global memory. An agent can carry a review method or drafting format while its memory access is Read-only or Off. Those controls govern context use; they do not change the selected model provider's data handling.
Chat, Files, connected services, and local Code have different storage boundaries. Review Privacy and the selected tools before adding sensitive material. Mobile Remote uses the paired computer's permissions, while mobile Chat uses account-backed services.
