Troubleshooting
Fix sign-in problems, an empty model list, a Code task that won’t start, a locked model, and a paired iPhone that can’t connect.
If the desktop app asks you to sign in
To use Code without an account, choose use AI Integrator Code without an account on the sign-in screen. Chat and Files still require you to sign in. Chat in a browser can’t open a local project, even on the same computer.
If Chat won’t load or the model list is empty
Go to Sign in and sign in again. Public pages work without signing in. Chat, Files, projects, memory, connectors, and Billing don’t.
If the model list is empty, check your internet connection and open the list again. It shows only the models the catalog returned. On iPhone, Google sign-in opens inside the app. If you cancel it, start again from the app, not from Safari.
If a Code task won’t start
In Settings → Runtimes & Models, choose Check all.

If a permission or model is missing from the composer, the runtime doesn’t offer it.
If a model is locked
Open the model’s row to see the reason. Common reasons are the zero data retention or no-training filter in Settings → Advanced, a plan that doesn’t include the model, or a provider route that’s down. If reasoning shows only None, the model has no reasoning levels.
If a connector doesn’t work
Open Skills & Plugins → Installed. The connector must be installed, turned on for Chat or Code, and signed in or given a key if the card asks. If the card mentions the desktop app, complete the first sign-in there.
If Billing hasn’t updated
After checkout finishes, open Settings → Billing again. Manage billing opens the payment provider’s portal, which can take a few seconds to match Billing.
If your iPhone can’t connect to your computer
In Settings → Remote Access on your computer, check that Allow remote access is on, a connection is turned on under Connections, and your iPhone is listed under Paired devices. Both devices must be signed in to the same account. To pair again, choose Add a device on your computer, tap Remote → Pair a computer on your iPhone, then choose Allow on your computer.
Waking…, Reconnecting, or Stopped means your computer or the private network is asleep. Wake them before you try the action again.
On your PC lists only windows that are open on your computer, and only after View apps is turned on. Screens appear after View screens is turned on. To click and type, Control apps and Control screens are separate switches. On a Mac, also check Remote Access → This Mac for Screen Recording and Accessibility.
If pairing seems stuck, remove the device and pair again. Your computer must be signed in to grant access. Code keeps running on your computer while your iPhone is offline. See Remote access and Skills and plugins.
