Chat and Remote#

AI Integrator for iPhone signs in to the same account as the web app, so your projects, Agents, memory, and files are there. You don’t need a paired computer to use Chat.

You can also pair AI Integrator for iPhone with the desktop app to use Remote. Pairing doesn’t install Code on your iPhone or upload your repository.

You can also use Chat in a phone browser with the same account. Installers for the desktop app are on Downloads.

Sign in on your iPhone#

Sign in with Google or Apple. A system sheet opens for the sign-in and returns you to AI Integrator when you finish, without switching to Safari. If you cancel, you stay on the sign-in screen. If you leave the sheet open for a few minutes, it times out.

Pair your iPhone with your computer#

Before you begin, set up a private connection that your computer can use: your local network, ZeroTier, or Tailscale.

1. On your computer, open Settings → Mobile Gateway and turn on Enable Mobile Gateway.
2. Choose a private connection, then choose Show pairing QR.
3. On your iPhone, open the drawer, tap Remote, then tap Pair a computer.
4. Scan the code, or pair manually.
5. On your computer, choose Confirm device for the pending device.

Your iPhone can’t do anything on your computer until you confirm it.

Use an app on your computer#

This requires a paired computer, and it’s off until you allow it. On a Mac, macOS also asks you to allow Screen Recording and Accessibility for AI Integrator.

1. On your computer, in Mobile Gateway, turn on View app windows for your iPhone. To click and type, also turn on Control app windows. View browser and Control browser cover only the task browser, not Word, a terminal, or other apps.
2. On your iPhone, open Browser → New tab.
3. Under On your PC, tap a window that’s already open.

The window fills your iPhone screen. Pinch to zoom, and pan with two fingers. To type, tap a text field, then tap the keyboard button. PC app actions lists the gestures: tap to click, double-tap to double-click, and touch and hold to right-click.

Closing the tab on your iPhone ends the view. The app keeps running on your computer. Restore minimized windows on your computer before you open them. One iPhone can connect at a time, and your iPhone waits while someone is using the computer’s mouse. For limits and whole-screen control, see Remote access.

Follow a Code task#

Remote lists your paired computers. Filter with All or a computer name, then use Projects view, Priority view, or Search remote chats to find a task.

• Send message starts a run on your computer.
• While a run is active, you may see Queue message, Steer this turn, and Stop.
• Work surfaces can show Git, Agents, Files, and Usage. Files shows a preview, and Git shows the diff.

To stage, commit, or push, use your computer.

If your iPhone can’t connect#

If Remote shows Waking…, Reconnecting, or Stopped, wake your computer and check the private connection. Then read the transcript before you send again, because your last action may not have reached your computer.
