Group related chats, instructions, files, and project memory in one focused workspace.
Create and open a project
Projects appear in the Projects section of the Chat sidebar. New project opens a small form with Project name, colour swatches, and an icon picker. Creating the project opens a new chat already associated with it. The plus button on a project row starts another New chat here conversation. Expanding a project loads its chats; selecting the project name opens its workspace.
The project workspace can show a name, description, instructions, files, and chats. Edit changes the project identity and instructions. Settings > Projects provides the same controls in a broader list: Name, Colour, Instructions, Save, and Archive. Instructions are applied to every turn in that project after the account instructions, so they are suitable for stable context such as the project’s audience, terminology, or working preferences.
Keep project context together
A chat belongs to at most one project. A chat row’s actions menu can move it to another project, remove it from the current project, rename it, pin it, archive it, or delete it. Project files are managed from the Files inspector: selecting a project there makes the file available to chats in that project. See Files for the library workflow.
Dynamic memory can be enabled for an individual project from Settings > Projects. The setting controls whether durable facts from chats in that project may be saved; the account-wide memory controls still determine whether saved knowledge is used. Details and per-project switches are in Memory.
Archive removes a project from the sidebar while its chats stay associated with it. Delete removes the project and leaves its chats as standalone conversations. These actions ask for confirmation because they change the organization of existing work. A project’s chats can still be found through Search when they remain unarchived.
Find the right workspace
Projects are useful when the same instructions, files, and facts should travel with several conversations. A standalone chat remains the better fit for a one-off question. The sidebar keeps project chats nested under their project while pinned chats remain easy to reach.
