Bug reports and credits
Send a bug from any surface, what the automated review checks, the 30-minute limit, and when a report earns extra usage.
Where to report
Every surface has the same form. On the PC app and the web app, select Report a bug under the account row at the bottom of the left rail; a dialog opens over the current chat or project. On phone-width web the same link raises a bottom sheet. On the mobile app, select Report a bug in the account menu, or shake the phone: Shake to report is on by default and can be turned off on the Settings › Report a bug page. Settings carries a Report a bug page on every surface: under Shared below Updates on the PC app, and alongside the other sections on web and mobile.
What the form asks
- App — PC, Web, or Mobile. The app you are on is pre-selected and can be changed.
- Section — Code, Chat, Agents, Files, Settings, or Custom on PC and web; Chat, Remote, Agents, Files, Settings, or Custom on mobile. Custom takes a short name for the area.
- Report — up to 1,000 characters. Say what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. Steps to reproduce help most.
The form refuses text that looks like a password, API key, access token, private key, connection string, or an environment-variable assignment. Remove the value and describe the problem instead. One report is accepted per account every 30 minutes; the form shows how long is left.
Automated review
An automated reviewer reads each report with Zero Data Retention and no-training filters on. It decides whether the text is spam or filler, whether it contains dangerous content, and whether it describes a new, actionable defect that is not already on the list. Reports the reviewer rejects are not stored. If the reviewer is unreachable, the report is kept for a later review and earns no credit. The form shows a thank-you either way and never reveals the outcome; a credit is the only visible signal.
Credits
- Your first report each day (UTC) that the reviewer marks new and actionable adds $0.50 of extra usage to your account.
- Your seventh new, actionable report within a rolling seven days adds $1.00 more, at most once per calendar week. A report can earn both.
*Credits are granted only when our automated review deems a report unique and actionable. A duplicate of a known issue, a feature request, or a report without enough detail to investigate earns no credit, and the review's decision is final. Credits are extra usage under the Terms of Service; they have no cash value.
Privacy
Reports are tied to your account so the team can follow up. They are read by the automated reviewer and by the team. Do not include secrets or other people's personal data. See Privacy and Settings.
